Meet Ruth Hoyt in Medellín for an unforgettable journey to private Colombian locations for Andean cock-of-the-rock, sword-billed and ruby-topaz hummingbirds, hard-to-find antpittas, and many more. As we travel south, we sleep in each location from 2-4 nights and make day trips to private refuges. To maximize your photographic experience, participation is limited to six individuals. Join OM System photographer, Ruth Hoyt, in this third annual, highly successful workshop aimed at helping OM system users to maximize use of their gear and all it has to offer. Each workshop is limited to five participants.

The photographers meet in San Antonio and drive south in a van to spend the first two nights in Edinburg, TX. They photograph five sessions from photo blinds at the Laguna Seca Ranch, a world-renowned site for green jays, great kiskadees, crested caracaras and many more.

Next, they drive to Rockport, TX, for four sessions of photographing endangered whooping cranes, sandhill cranes, and other wildlife. Two are afternoon sessions from private photo blinds and two morning sessions from a private boat that takes the photographers along the coast.

Ruth provides individual attention as needed, with an emphasis on best settings for birds in flight. We conduct talks the evenings before the ranch and crane photo sessions to answer questions and let the participants know what to expect to get their best results.
